Dears,

It has been a while since our last conversation. These irregularities remind us that everything has its own pace—nearby chestnut trees bloom a bit later than those in the city, the mysterious Voynich Manuscript is yet to be deciphered and a majestic space creature slowly unfolds its metal limbs as it flows undisrupted into the expanding universe. And the heroic resistance of Ukraine enters its third month. Our reality subsists on different temporalities, frequently moving in and out of our perturbed perception. These temporalities forge unexpected connections, also leaving gaps during the turbulence of passing time.

In moments like this, the world feels like it exists in a constant decalcomania frenzy. A myriad of layers is endlessly transferred onto different environments, creating blurred, beautiful, but also ominous world-images. It is a metamorphic reality, suggesting that safety and refuge often lie in the contingencies that comprise the telluric choreography of this world and the worlds to come.

Yours truly,
Rupert
