Micaela Durand (USA) is a filmmaker who lives and works in New York. She has exhibited and screened her work at 47 Canal, White Columns, MoMA PS1, MOCA LA, The Shed, e-flux, Rotterdam Film Festival, and New York Film Festival. She co-directs with longtime collaborator Daniel Chew. Their films examine our culture of looking, the personal and social implications of social media, and the desire to be seen. While at Rupert, Durand will be working on pre-production for her first feature film.
