Sophie Paul

Sophie Paul is a designer and writer based in London. Her research is concerned with self-organised feminist print practices and support structures. She makes work about iridescence, girls, and the instability of language. She is an associate lecturer in Design at Goldsmiths UoL, an access support worker, and is one half of the feminist press Sticky Fingers Publishing.
At Rupert, she will continue developing her research and performance project, ‘The Crystal Monologues’, which explores a re-conceptualisation of girlhood through the tendencies of the iridescent: deceptive, scattered, shimmering. The work crosses the Arctic Sea, awash with the waxy undead bodies of sailors, jewels, and ice palaces.
