Alexandra Bondarev

Alexandra Bondarev is a Vilnius-born traveller, photographer, poetess, translator, and language editor in the cultural field. Her artistic practice is rooted in an anthropological approach to humanistic documentary, centred on the Human and un-exoticized cultural signs that reveal timeless values. She is interested in specific lifestyles (art de vivre) as a part of the creative process. In 2024, Alexandra received the Romualdas Rakauskas Photography Award, completed an artistic residency at the Jam Factory Art Centre in Lviv (Ukraine), and documented political protests in Georgia. Her work has been presented in a solo exhibition at Drifts Gallery (Vilnius), as well as in group exhibitions at Fotografia Gallery (Tbilisi) and in several non-institutional spaces, including Vilnius University Botanical Garden and Anykščiai Chapel.
