Calum Bowden

Calum is an artist, designer, and researcher molding organizations as a medium. He co-founded Trust, a network of utopian conspirators, collaborating on games, digital tools, decision-making mechanisms, and methods for cooperative knowledge exchange. From 2020-2023, Calum was a maintainer of Black Swan DAO, a collective pursuing horizontal and decentralized approaches to art making. In this way, Calum creates infrastructures that relink culture, technology, and political economy.

At Rupert, Calum will work on a new writing project about the limits of collaboration. His research looks at live action role playing games, distributed decision support systems, and organizational cybernetics, with much in between.
