Kris Dittel

Kris Dittel is a Slovak–Hungarian curator, editor and writer, based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Her practice is driven by long-term research projects that materialize in various forms: exhibitions, publications, public events, performances, texts, talks and more.

Her recent projects include Unruly Kinships (Temporary Gallery CCA Cologne, 2022–23), an exhibition, study group series, and event program co-curated with Aneta Rostkowska, which explored possibilities of (queer) kinship and ways of relating to the world. She also co-edited the publication Unruly Kinships with Rostkowska (Jap Sam Books, 2025) and co-authored the children’s book Life with Fifi with Angelica Falkeling (_BÖKS, 2025). Together with Clem Edwards, Kris co-edited The Material Kinship Reader (Onomatopee, 2022, 2025), examining material relations beyond extraction and kinship beyond the nuclear family.

Currently she thinks and writes about love, desire, and how fantasy and imagination can shape our understanding of relational possibilities.
