From 2025, Rupert has joined the Ulysses Platform. This project brings together 13 European partner institutions involved in the support and promotion of young artists. Each institution plays a fundamental role in recognizing, accompanying, professionalizing, and developing the careers of young performers, some for over 20 years. IRCAM is the coordinator of the network.

Rupert’s focus for Ulysses is on cross-sector innovation incorporating sonic archives, activism, and performance. Over the next three years, a cohort of interdisciplinary artists from throughout the world, selected by the Rupert curatorial team, will work with our institution in two movements.

The first movement invites artists for project development residencies and to present their practices in Vilnius in the frame of Ulysses Platform’s In-Situ programme. A second movement invites these artists to create new work for exhibition at Rupert and with our platform partners abroad, in the Ulysses Platform’s Co-Commissions programme.

The name Ulysses was chosen to symbolise an artistic journey. The initial development of the Ulysses Platform was financed jointly by Sacem and IRCAM.

The Ulysses Platform is supported by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union through the Ulysses Network Project.
