JL Murtaugh (Liam)
Curator of the Residency and Public Programmes

Liam is an artist, curator, writer, and consultant. Originally from Chicago, he currently lives in Vilnius. Since 2014, Liam has organized projects under the alias of Syndicate; a liquid, nomadic contemporary art platform producing exhibitions, events, and publications with long-term collaborators. He was recently artistic director of Autarkia, Vilnius (2020–2023); and was formerly the director of Tenderpixel, London (2012–2014). Liam studied at Goldsmiths College, London (MFA Fine Art); Kunstakademie Düsseldorf; and Columbia College, Chicago (BFA Fine Art and Art History), following earlier education in architecture and design.

Monika Lipšic
Curator of the Residency and Public Programmes

Monika is a curator and artist living and working in Vilnius. She graduated from Vilnius Academy of Arts History and Curatorial Studies, and later worked at the Contemporary Art Centre, Vilnius. Up till now, she has been working independently and by invitation on projects, exhibitions, performances and poems abroad and in Lithuania, in the fields of contemporary art and history. Her curatorial interests in culture often merge with artistic decisions and interpretations. She recently curated: The Invisibles (together with Vytautas Gečas and Marija Puipaitė), Lithuanian National Museum of Art, 2022; Audra, Lithuanian National Museum of Art, 2021; Videograms festival for moving image and artists’ videos (since 2020) as a co-curator and one of the founders.

Viktorija Šiaulytė
Director

Viktorija Šiaulytė has worked as an independent curator and producer for more than 10 years in the fields of contemporary art, architecture, and film. Šiaulytė holds an MFA in Critical Writing and Curatorial Practice from Konstfack and a BA in Art History from the Vilnius Academy of Arts. She currently holds the post of research affiliate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Program in Art, Culture and Technology and has been a fellow at Akademie Schloss Solitude (2020–2021). She presented personal and collaborative projects at Architektūros fondas, transmediale festival for art and digital culture, Haus der Kulturen der Welt, among others. Her documentary film, co-directed and produced together with Marta Dauliūtė, premiered at the Gothenburg International Film Festival, Sweden, and Hot Docs, Canada, in 2022. Since 2020 she has been a co-founder and co-curator of Videograms, a festival for artists’ film and moving image in Vilnius, Lithuania.
