Jenni Crain

Jenni Crain (B. 1991, New York) is an artist and curator living and working in Brooklyn, NY. Solo exhibitions include Scenes From A Pause at 321 Gallery, Brooklyn, NY (2017); Upon Reflection at Y Gallery, New York, NY (2015); and Bent to Its Own Image at The Java Project, Brooklyn, NY (2015). Forthcoming solo and group exhibitions include those at Baba Yaga in Hudson, NY and Gordon Robichaux, New York, NY, both in 2018. Crain is the co-founder and co-director of Topless, a seasonal gallery based in Rockaway Beach, NY, which has renovated and inhabited vacant storefronts along the Rockaway peninsula since summer 2014. Recent curatorial endeavors include Camerado, this is no book at Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY (2017); Outdoor Living at Rzeplinski, Brooklyn, NY (2017, co-curated with Carey Denniston); Star Circle Stage at Orgy Park, Brooklyn, NY (2017); February at Roberta Pelan, Toronto, ON (2017, co-curated with Lydia Glenn-Murray); and A Sieve Itself May Sieve at Shanaynay, Paris, FR (2016, co-curated with Lydia Glenn-Murray).

While at Rupert Crain will work towards establishing an upcoming series of publications consisting of artist interviews and books to be released later in 2018.
