Miša Skalskis
Miša Skalskis (Lithuania) is a Helsinki based visual and sound artist from Lithuania. His latest works explore collective memory and its relationship to fiction and presence. He holds a degree in Sonology from the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague and a masters of Fine Arts and Graphic Design from the Sandberg Institute in Amsterdam. Miša has performed and exhibited at spaces such as Sorbus Gallery (Helsinki), Contemporary Art Center (Vilnius), 1646 project space (The Hague) and the Community (Paris), among others. In residency at Rupert, Miša will develop a musical performance in collaboration with Milda Januševičiūtė that expands upon their previous sound experiments for video. The concluding performance will take place at the end of October at Pavilijonas (Vilnius), playfully combining elements of pop and folk music to explore themes of melancholia and care.
