Open studios: Denisas Kolomyckis
Thursday, 14 May, from 17:30, join our current resident, Lithuanian artist and performer Denisas Kolomyckis and Rupert curator Kotryna Markevičiūtė for a virtual open studio meeting. In the conversation the artist will present his project and audiovisual material he has been developing at Rupert for the past 3 weeks.
During the residency, Denisas has been developing an idea of the performance CONDITION about movement disorders (caused by bacterial and neurological diseases and other related syndromes) that can affect and change a person’s ability to control the physical actions of the body. This project is a psychologically complex and slow story about a person’s condition and uncontrolled (different parts of the body) movement having a disease. The project combines sound, image and performance/choreographic motives.
The event is open to everyone and no prior registration is required.
The conversation will take place on Zoom (bit.ly/Open_studios) Password: 230506
Conversation language: Lithuanian or/and English depending on the audience.
Duration: around 60 min.
Rupert’s programmes are supported by the Lithuanian Council for Culture.
Special thanks to Pakrantė for supporting Rupert’s short-residencies programme this April-May.
