Sanna Marander and Niklas Tafra

Sanna Marander and Niklas Tafra work both separately and collaboratively with writing, performance and installation. Their common works have recently been shown at Market Art Fair, Stockholm (2016), Overgaden Institut for Samtidskunst Copenhagen (2015) and Kunstverein Milano (2014).

In their collaboration Sanna Marander and Niklas Tafra often work with the exhibition as a medium, with the poetic potential of its limited capacities of reproducing processes. Here, text that frame art become central as artistic material. Taking a point of departure in symbolist art criticism of poet and anarchist Felix Fénéon, the workshop presented at Rupert was a reflection on this subject. They presented parts of their ongoing work and executed a series of writing exercises. The workshop and research partly developed at Rupert resulted in the book Can you tell me, your Honor, where behind a lamp-post is? Published by Kunstverein (Milano) Publishing.
